Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice é o grande vencedor do principal prémio de videojogos do mundo. O título da From Software sucede a God of War como o Jogo do Ano na gala do The Game Awards, o evento anual de prémios de prémios, considerado os Óscares dos videojogos. Disco Elysium foi também um dos vencedores da noite, ao conquistar quatro categorias.

O jogo de samurais levou a melhor no principal prémio da noite sobre nomes pesos como Death Stranding (talvez o principal favorito), Resident Evil 2 ou Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Elysium, por sua vez, conquistou os prémios de Melhor Jogo Independente, Melhor RPG, Melhor Criação Independente e Melhor Narrativa.
O evento serviu também de apresentação para a nova consola, a Xbox X Series, cujo o lançamento, ficou também a saber-se, vai acontecer no final de 2020. A mesma data de lançamento da sua principal concorrente, a PlayStation 5. A apresentação foi acompanhada por um vídeo.
